Unpopular opinion: my $1,200 tablet got fried by a $9 USB hub last Tuesday night
I was finishing a commission piece for a client in Austin when the screen just went black mid-stroke, and now the whole thing won't turn on. Took it to a shop and they said the cheap hub sent a power spike straight through the port, repair quote was $340. Has anyone else lost work to a sketchy hub, or am I the only one who cheaps out on accessories?
