That one safety inspector's remark changed my whole clutch approach
Back in March I had a safety inspector over at the yard in Mesquite tell me I was 'babying the clutch' during a road test. He pointed out a slight shudder on a 10-speed that I thought was just the tires. After he left, I tore into the driveline and found a warped flywheel face I'd have missed for months. Now I do a full clutch engagement check on every used truck before I hand over the keys, and I even started asking my shop buddies for their thoughts before big jobs. Anyone else had a stranger's comment point out something you'd overlooked for way too long?

Eh, that shudder was probably the flywheel, not the clutch.
