Skipped the bleed step on a Cummins fuel filter change

I swapped the filter and just started it up without bleeding the air out. It ran rough for days before I caved and did it right. What's the fastest way you've found to get all the air out of a diesel fuel system?

Seems like overkill to me. Mine just sputters for a few seconds and then it's fine.

Fixed my router by just unplugging it for a minute. It was dropping connection every hour like clockwork... hasn't given me trouble since, knock on wood.
