Just realized my "quick" fuel filter swap on a 6.7 took me 4 hours and it was a dumb o-ring
Everyone on here says pull the filter housing on a 6.7 in 20 minutes flat, and I'm here to say that's baloney for the rest of us. Last Tuesday a customer's truck came in with a hard start and I figured easy money, but it turned into 4 hours in the bay on a lift in Shreveport because I kept chasing the air leak in the wrong spot. Turned out the old o-ring on the drain valve was chewed up and pulling air, and I only caught it after the third prime and a soapy water spray on everything. Anyone else had one of these fight you way longer than the book time says?
