Update: my sister told me my texts were too long and now I notice it everywhere
We were at her place in Dayton last month and she pulled up our chat and counted out loud: my last 6 messages were all over 4 lines. She goes, "I read these on my watch, dude, give me a break." So I tried keeping replies under 2 lines for a week and honestly it was hard at first because I always tack on a second thought. The weird part is I get annoyed now when someone sends me a giant wall of text and I have to scroll twice, so I guess I see her point. How short do you all keep your texts before it feels rude?
Honestly a two line cap feels kinda strict to me, some stuff just needs more room to explain. Short is fine for quick plans but nobody should feel bad for writing out a real thought.
