My neighbor's hedge used to be a wall and now I can see straight into his kitchen
Back in April the guy two houses down had a solid 8 foot hedge along our shared fence line, thick enough that you never saw a single window. He cut it down to about 3 feet in one weekend because he said it was blocking his gutter guys. Now I sit on my porch with my coffee and I'm staring at his counter, his fridge, his dog, everything. It's been 4 months and the thing has barely grown back, maybe 6 inches of new green at most. I wave, he waves, but we both know we're living in a fishbowl now. My wife says I should just plant my own quick growing shrubs on our side, so has anyone dealt with a shared fence situation where the fix had to be 100 percent on your own property?
