Traded my old espresso machine for a bread machine, now I get it

I gave away my barely used espresso maker last Tuesday for a bread machine someone listed here, and after 3 loaves even my picky roommate admitted the crust beats the bakery down the street. Anyone else swap something useless for a weird kitchen gadget and end up obsessed?
