Hot take: I paid $22 for a 'vintage' mug at a flea market and found a $1.50 price tag underneath
Stopped at the flea market on Saturday and grabbed this speckled mug from a guy who swore it was from the 70s. Got it home, washed it, and the old sticker peeled up from the bottom showing $1.50 in marker. I know I should have flipped it over before paying but the guy had a whole story about his grandma's cabinet. So now I'm out 20 bucks and stuck with a mug that holds coffee just fine but stings a little. Any tips for spotting marked-up stuff at these tables before I hand over cash?
