Serious question, did anyone else think skipping a day of showers was gross until their gym's hot water died for 4 days?
Our gym in Boise had a pipe burst on a Monday and the hot water was out until Thursday, so I did the wipe down with baby wipes thing and figured I'd smell like a locker room by day two. On day three my roommate sniffed my hoodie and shrugged, and honestly my skin stopped itching from the hard water for the first time in months. I'm not saying I'm quitting showers, but the whole thing made me question how much of that daily scrub is actual need and how much is just habit. Anyone else have a stretch where forced no shower days went way better than expected, or am I just rationalizing being lazy?
Expect the no shower streak to catch up with you eventually, because your roommate getting used to the smell does not mean other people are. Your skin feeling better is probably just the hard water thing, not proof that daily showers are fake. Skip a shower here and there if you want, but four days of baby wipes is straight up lazy and you know it.
