DAE remember when everyone knitted on pencils in study hall?
My nephew found my old pencil-knit swatch from 1998 in a shoebox last month and asked why I bothered with tools back then. Told him the school banned needles after a kid in Wichita poked a hole in his eraser, so 12 of us used two #2s and yarn from the craft bin. Now I'm curious, what was the weirdest stand-in tool you used before you got the real thing?
