Question about flossing: the dental hygienist in Boise changed my mind in one visit
I always figured flossing was kind of a scam and brushing twice a day was plenty, so I skipped it for probably 3 years straight. Then I moved to Boise and went to a new hygienist named Dana, and she poked around my gums for a minute and just said, "you can floss or you can pay me later, your call." She showed me the little mirror and pointed out two spots that were already puffy and bleeding, and it made me feel kind of dumb honestly. So I started doing it at night while I watch TV, just the 2 minutes during one show, and after about 4 months my gums quit bleeding completely. My next cleaning took 20 minutes instead of 45. Has anyone else had a hygienist call them out like that and actually stick with it, or did you fall off after a few weeks?
