Rain for 6 straight days and my dog still demanded the full 40 minute route

After Tuesday's downpour soaked through my supposedly waterproof jacket for the third time, I looked at Biscuit and he just stood there wagging his tail at the park gate like 4 inches of mud was a personal insult, so has anyone else given up on the short loop and just embraced the sloppy disaster walk?

Biscuit sounds like my Cooper, who once gave me this look of pure betrayal when I tried to cut our block route short during a hail storm. We ended up doing the full 3 miles anyway because he refused to squat until we hit his favorite fire hydrant on Elm Street. My question is, how do you handle the paw cleaning situation when you get back? I've got a dedicated mud towel by the door now, but Biscuit still tracks half the park into my kitchen every single time.
