Paid $160 for a GPS collar, saved my wallet in the long run
My old boy Buddy bolted after a deer last spring near the creek trail and I spent two days panicking before a neighbor found him. That collar's tracked his wandering butt through the woods five times since, cheaper than another lost-dog flyer run for sure. Anyone else drop cash on tracking gear and actually feel it was worth it?
Man, yes! I got one for my beagle Daisy after she went missing for a whole day and I was a wreck, crying on the phone with the shelter and all that. She slipped out the gate chasing a squirrel and I found her a mile away in some random yard thanks to that little dot on my phone. Best money I ever spent, no question. The peace of mind alone is worth it, I stopped losing sleep every time she goes out to pee. People think it's silly to spend that much on a dog but they don't get how fast a scared pup can disappear. Two days of panic is something I never want to go through again, so yeah, that collar paid for itself the first time.
