Ditched the antivirus suite everyone swears by

Ran Norton for 9 years on my Dell in Austin, then a crypto miner got in through a browser extension and tanked my CPU to 100%. Uninstalled it, switched to Windows Defender plus uBlock Origin, and 14 months later I've had zero hits. Anyone else find the paid suites are mostly bloat now?
