Picked a niche keyword over a broad one for a client and it doubled traffic

I had to choose between targeting 'cybersecurity software' or 'endpoint protection for healthcare SMBs' for a client based in Austin. Went with the specific one after checking their competitor's weak spots. In 3 months, their blog went from 200 to 450 monthly visitors from that one phrase. Anyone else find that drilling down works better than trying to rank for everything?

200 visitors isn't really doubled traffic numbers.

Oh man, 200 visitors is definitely a start though. When I first started out I thought anything over 50 was a win. But you're right, it's not double unless you were already at 100 or something. What worked for me was focusing on one or two platforms where my people actually hang out instead of trying to be everywhere at once. It's slow at first but those little wins add up over time if you stick with it.

Dude, 200 visitors was a huge milestone for me back when I first started my gardening blog. It felt like I'd cracked some secret code after months of getting maybe 30 hits a day. Numbers are all relative I guess, but hitting that first real bump feels totally different when you remember where you started.
