Found a whole antique map trove in a Missouri barn, here's how I sorted it
I was hauling a load through Sedalia last fall and stopped at this run-down farm auction. Turned out the old owner collected 140 years of Missouri highway maps, stuffed in two milk crates. The trick I figured out is to sort by the date printed on the road construction notes, not the cover, since covers get recycled. I used a cheap magnifier lamp and a blank notebook to log each one, took about 6 evenings, and now I can spot a 1950s rerouting just by the county line shapes. Anybody else find a stash that took more patience than money to organize?
