Appreciation post: My cousin says collecting beer coasters is dumb, but I'm sticking with it

I've got a whole binder filled with beer coasters from different bars and breweries I've visited over the years. My cousin laughed and said it's a waste of time because they're just free cardboard. I see it differently though, each coaster reminds me of a fun night out with friends or a cool new place I discovered. When people come over, they flip through the binder and share their own stories about spots they've been to. It's not about the money or rarity, it's about the memories tied to each little piece. Sure, they might get beer stains on them, but that just adds character. I think collections should be about what makes you happy, not what looks impressive to others. So I'll keep grabbing coasters, even if some folks don't get it.

I use those cheap plastic sheets from the office store to keep mine from getting wrecked, works like a charm.
