Update: a 12 year old kid on a tour asked why our tower crane has a red light on top and I had to look it up

Question whether that red light really needs a whole safety briefing. Plenty of cranes run fine and the light is just for planes flying low at night. If the kid was on a tour, he probably saw it and got curious, not scared. Making it sound like some huge deal feels like overkill. A simple "so pilots can see it" would've done the job. Not everything on a job site needs a big lesson behind it.
