Had to choose between an old Grove and a new Terex for a job in Houston last spring

I picked the Grove because my dad used to run one back in the 90s, and honestly it felt more natural in the cab. That machine worked like a champ through a tight downtown setup, but I wonder if the newer one would have saved me time on the computer stuff - has anyone else stuck with older gear just for comfort?

Yeah, that "old Grove feature" you mentioned really got to me. I saw it and it made me feel a little sad honestly. Those old cranes remind me of times when things were built to last and there was more pride in the work. I don't know, it's like we've lost something important. Glad someone else is thinking about it too.

@lee_reed yeah I saw it and felt old myself since my bald spot's growing faster than my crane know-how.
