Spent 4 hours trying to place a single flower pot in Stardew Valley and still got it wrong

I was trying to put a flower pot inside my farmhouse right next to the window so it looked nice, but every time I tried to place it the game would either put it on a table or shove it into a corner I didn't want. After 4 hours of moving furniture, picking up decorations, and watching YouTube videos, I finally got it placed... then realized it was facing the wrong way lol. Has anyone else wasted a whole afternoon on something this dumb in a cozy game?

Actually, the flower pot can't face the wrong way in Stardew Valley. I think you might be confusing it with the wall decorations. The pots just sit there and look the same no matter what. But yeah, I feel your pain on the placement struggle. The game's furniture system drives me nuts with how it snaps to tables and countertops even when you don't want it to. What I found helps is using a controller instead of a mouse, the cursor doesn't jump around as much. Did you try picking up all the nearby furniture first so there's nothing for the pot to snap onto?
