PSA: dont restart your farm just because you missed one season event
I kept seeing people in the Discord say they deleted their whole Stardew save because they missed the Stardew Valley Fair in year 1 or forgot to plant a strawberry before the egg festival. I did that twice myself, back in 2021, and honestly it killed my enjoyment way faster than missing some pixels ever could. The fair comes back every single year, and the rare stuff like the starfruit or the catalog items will roll around again too. Meanwhile I have a friend who played her first farm for like 60 hours without ever talking to half the villagers, and she still had a blast just fishing and decorating her shed. Why does it matter? Because cozy games are about the slow pace, not perfection, and resetting always put me right back at the boring tool-grind stage. Has anyone else talked themselves out of a good save over something tiny like a missed birthday gift? What did you do, just push through or actually start over?
