Pro tip: skip the $90 footrest I bought at the mall kiosk in Erie, it just slid around all day
I set up my little study nook in the corner of my bedroom about 4 months ago and thought a footrest was the missing piece for comfy sitting. So I dropped $90 on one from a kiosk at the Millcreek Mall and it turned out to be the worst buy of the whole setup. It slid on my rug every time I moved, the height never felt right, and after 2 weeks I just kicked it under the desk and forgot about it. What actually helped was a $6 stack of old textbooks under my feet and raising my chair one notch. Maybe a real footrest works for some folks but the cheap one was pure regret for me. Has anyone found a footrest that actually stays put on carpet, or is the textbook stack just the answer?
