Why does nobody talk about the $30 popcorn popper that roasted my coffee for two years
Back when money was tight, I could not swing a real roaster. A coworker in Toledo mentioned folks use a hot air popcorn popper, so I grabbed one at a garage sale for $30. That thing and a $9 thermometer gave me decent roasts for two years on my back porch. Then one Saturday it quit mid batch and the smoke alarm went off before the beans were done. I still have a jar of those half roasted beans on the shelf. Curious if anyone here still roasts at home and what setup held up for you.
