Just realized my old percolator recipe is basically a science experiment
Was cleaning out my mom's basement last weekend and found her 1970s percolator with a faded instruction booklet. Turns out the old guidance was 1 tablespoon per 6 ounces of water, but modern drip ratios are closer to 1:15 by weight. I ran the numbers and that percolator brew was like 3x stronger than what I make now, no wonder my dad only drank half a cup back then. I actually dug out my digital scale and tried replicating it with a modern brewer, just out of curiosity, and it came out bitter but kinda nostalgic. Does anyone else have old family recipes that just hit different when you realize the math behind them?

Bet you measured in "blasts" and "pinches" too, right?
