Finally found my go-to bean after visiting a tiny roaster in Portland

I stopped by this little place called Nossa Familia last month and tried their Brazil single origin. The natural sweetness is so consistent I haven't touched my usual bag in weeks. Anyone else found a bean that just clicked right away?

Nossa Familia is actually the place that got me into coffee a few years back. I tried their Ethiopia Yirgacheffe on a whim and it was like a completely different drink compared to what I was used to. That first sip hit me with such a clean berry taste I just sat there staring at my cup for a minute. Glad you found something that stuck with you too, it's a good feeling when a bean just fits your taste without trying.

Is it really that serious though? I mean yeah the Yirgacheffe is good but it's still just coffee at the end of the day. I had a similar experience with a single origin once and honestly I just felt like I paid too much for a fancy drink that tastes like fruit instead of coffee. Not trying to rain on your parade but I feel like people hype up these beans like they found the meaning of life or something.
