Spent $12 on a fitted sheet for my fort base and it fixed everything
I know people hate on fitted sheets for forts but hear me out. I used to build my base with a flat sheet every time and it would slip off the chairs within 15 minutes, especially on the hardwood in my apartment. Last month I grabbed a $12 fitted sheet from the clearance rack just to try it, and it grips the chair legs and the couch corners so much better that my fort held up for a full movie plus a nap. The stretchy corners mean I do not have to keep re-tucking while I am trying to read, and the top layer of blankets sits way more even on top. My old flat sheet base is now a backup at best. Am I the only one who thinks the base layer matters more than the pretty blankets on top?
