Just realized the couch cushions were the secret weapon for our fort all along
Last Friday it rained all afternoon so my two oldest kids and I built a fort in the living room, and it kept falling down every few minutes because we were using books to hold the blankets. After about the fourth collapse, my 7 year old grabbed the couch cushions and wedged them along the back of the chairs, and that thing did not move for two hours. I always thought cushions were just for sitting on, but they give the whole thing weight and structure, and the blanket drapes over them way better than over a chair back. We used 4 blankets and every cushion in the house, and my youngest fell asleep in there during his nap. Anyone else use couch cushions as the main frame, or do you have a better trick for keeping the top from sagging?
