Found out my 8 year old nephew builds better forts than me and I need to know your tricks
I was babysitting my nephew last weekend at my sister's place in Portland and he asked if we could build a fort to watch movies in. I figured I'd show him how it's done since I've been messing around with blanket forts for a while now. This kid grabs two dining chairs, a broom, and like three binder clips and has a full ceiling going in under 4 minutes. I'm over here still trying to drape a king size sheet over the couch without it sliding off every 30 seconds. He told me the trick is to clip the back corners to the chair legs first so the front stays tight, which honestly never crossed my mind. I've been using the same lumpy setup since college and it never once occurred to me to anchor anything down. So now I'm asking the real builders here, what's your go to way to keep the roof from caving in? Do you use clips, tape, furniture, something else? I need to redeem myself before he starts kindergarten.
