A wedding client in Boise taught me a lesson about hairspray

I was doing an updo for a bride last month and she asked for extra hold. I loaded it up with the cheap stuff we keep for backstock and the whole thing turned into a helmet. The DJ at the reception kept calling her hair 'bulletproof' and she laughed it off, but I could tell she was annoyed. Now I always test a small section first before committing to a full can, and I ask clients to describe how much movement they want. Has anyone else had a product backfire like that on a big day?
