Project managers keep treating Procore like it's just a file cabinet
I sat through a 2-hour meeting last week watching someone manually re-type subcontractor data from Procore into Excel because they never learned the reporting module, and now I'm wondering how many other teams are wasting time like this?

@taylorellis I get what you're saying, but it runs deeper than one person. We fixed this on our jobs by having a weekly 15 minute power hour where the superintendents show everyone one Procore trick they actually use.

Yeah, "runs deeper than one person" is exactly right. I had a super on one of my old jobs who would print out the daily logs every morning just to write down the same notes in a physical notebook like it was 1995. He straight up told me Procore was just for "the office people." Meanwhile his assistant was spending 3 hours a week copying his field notes back into the system. That 15 minute power hour idea sounds great, we ended up doing something similar where the older guys showed the younger guys how to set up their phone notifications right, and suddenly everybody started actually using the inspection features. It's never just one lazy person, it's a whole culture thing where nobody shows anyone the real shortcuts.

Take it easy, that's just one person who doesn't know the tools - doesn't mean every team is falling apart.
