My barber in Reno told me he cuts hair by the moon and I laughed, then I tracked my own appointments
Ngl I always thought the moon phase stuff was pure nonsense. My barber in Reno, this older guy named Sal, mentioned offhand last March that he books his busiest days around the full moon because hair grows faster then. I laughed it off but started writing down my own cut dates and growth in a notes app. Over about five months I noticed my hair really did seem to grow quicker in the two weeks after a full moon, maybe a quarter inch more each time. Could be total coincidence, could be that I just pay more attention some weeks, but the pattern kept showing up. I tried searching for real studies and mostly found blog posts selling something, which is where the conspiracy brain kicks in. What got me was when Sal said the big chain shops schedule their promos around it too. Has anyone else tracked something like this, or am I just seeing shapes in the clouds?

A buddy of mine swore his grew faster too, tracked it for a year, ended up the same.
