Why does nobody talk about hitting 50,000 square feet in a month?

I just crunched my numbers from last month and I put down 52,000 square feet of flatwork between three jobs. That's more than I've ever done solo in a single month and it nearly broke me. I was working 12 hour days, skipping lunch, and my knees are still screaming a week later. The last job was a warehouse slab outside Denver where the finisher walked off halfway through and I had to handle it alone. Has anyone else hit a personal record that made you wonder if it was even worth it?

Wait... the finisher just walked off and left you to handle that whole pour by yourself? That's insane. No way would I take on a solo warehouse slab after someone bails like that.

Honestly you gotta have a backup plan with guys like that. I always keep a spare mixer or a helper on speed dial for days when someone walks off, costs a bit but saves your whole shift. That warehouse slab is no joke alone, better to push back the pour than risk a bad finish you can't fix.
