That spray-on release agent I swore was a gimmick actually saved me 4 hours on a driveway job in Phoenix last week

I finally tried the cheap stuff from Home Depot after fighting stuck forms for years, and now I'm kicking myself for not using it sooner. Has anyone else had a tool or product they ignored that ended up being a game changer?

Thirty years in and out of forms and I never bothered with spray-on release agents either. Figured they were just another upcharge with fancy marketing. Finally grabbed a can of the CRC stuff after watching a buddy zip through a pour job and yeah, now I'm the one telling everybody else they're wasting time with diesel and oil. Funny how the things you ignore the longest end up saving your back the most.

Diesel works fine until you're on your third form of the day and your back is already barking. Spray on is ten times faster and you don't slip a disc reaching over the edge. CRC specifically has been solid for me too, no tacky residue left behind like the cheap stuff. Never going back to the old way now.
