Showerthought: Wet curing kept my patio slab from cracking in the heat, why didn't I believe it sooner?

That "why didn't I believe it sooner" feeling is too real. I get it with basic car stuff, like checking tire pressure. My dad nagged me for years and I just shrugged it off. Then one low tire ruined a brand new set of tires on a long summer drive, warped them from the heat. Now I check every month like clockwork, feeling like a fool.

How often do you check your tire pressure now, and do you do it when the tires are cold? I used to check after driving until I realized it was always off by a few psi. Now I keep a gauge in my car and check monthly, like a responsible adult who should've listened years ago. Funny how that works.

Wait, but what if checking too often makes you miss bigger issues? I've seen people obsess over a couple psi while ignoring bald tread or cracked sidewalls. A monthly ritual might give a false sense of security. Isn't it better to just do a full visual check when you walk up to your car and only use the gauge if something looks off?
