Rant: Hit 1,000 pours without a single major call back and it threw me off
I was just updating my job log last night and realized I've done over 1,000 residential and small commercial pours since I went solo back in 2017. I never really kept count on purpose, it just kinda happened when I was adding up my total yards for the year. 1,000 is a weird number because it feels like I should have messed up way more than I have, you know? I mean I've had plenty of minor issues like a few hairline cracks or a spot that didn't cure right, but not a single big call back where I had to rip out and redo a whole slab. That surprised me because I work in Florida where the ground moves constantly and humidity is a nightmare. Half my jobs are driveways and patios in neighborhoods built on fill dirt that settles like crazy. I guess I just got lucky or maybe I'm more careful than I give myself credit for. Has anyone else hit a random milestone like this and felt kind of weird about it?
