Showerthought: the $60 power supply tester I grabbed at Micro Center in Denver saved me from frying a client's board last month
After 12 years of just eyeballing PSU voltages with a multimeter like an idiot, that cheap tester caught a flaky 5V rail before I plugged it into a $400 motherboard, and I keep wondering why I didn't buy one a decade sooner.

A repair tech on YouTube said cheap testers catch bad rails multimeters miss all the time.
