The bus driver who used to blast death metal at 7am suddenly switched to classical overnight

For like 6 months straight, every morning on the 42 bus route downtown, this one driver would have Cannibal Corpse playing so loud you could hear it through earbuds. Then about 3 weeks ago it completely changed to soothing violin concertos out of nowhere. I finally got the guts to ask him what happened and he said someone left a note on his seat thanking him for "helping them get through a tough breakup" with the heavy stuff. He said it made him realize people actually listen and he wanted to be more positive. Has anyone else had a driver totally flip their vibe like that?

Hold on, six months of Cannibal Corpse at 7am? That is wild. I can't imagine trying to start my day with that kind of noise before my first cup of coffee. It must have been something else to have that become your normal morning routine.

He said it made him realize people actually listen" is a bit much. It's just a bus driver playing music, not a TED Talk about emotional impact. Sounds like the guy got one nice note and decided to be a little more chill, which is fine, but let's not act like he had some huge life revelation. People flip their music taste all the time for way less dramatic reasons.
