Guy on the 7:15 bus said my headphones were why I missed my stop, and he was right
Sat next to a retired mail carrier on the 7:15 into Union Station last Tuesday. He pointed at my headphones and said 'you ride with your ears off, that's why you keep missing your stop.' I laughed it off. Then I counted and I had blown past my stop 3 times in 2 months, each time with music going. Now I ride the first half with nothing on, just listening for the conductor call out the stops. It feels weird at first but I have not missed my stop since. Anyone else ride with headphones and zone out past their stop?
