A man on the train was convinced I was his dentist

He kept asking me about his root canal appointment. I told him I just work in IT. He nodded and showed me his x-ray on his phone. I had to explain again during the entire ride. Now I know more about molars than I ever wanted to.

Feel your pain on this one. Once someone decides you're someone else, it's like talking to a wall. Showing you his x-ray on the phone is next level weird. You must have been counting the stops until you could get off. That kind of thing can ruin your whole day. Really sorry you had to deal with that.

That's seriously the worst feeling when someone just projects onto you. Makes a normal interaction feel so unsettling and unfair. Really hope your next trip out is boring and uneventful in the best way.
