Walked into my LCS after a 4 year break and barely recognized the crowd
I stopped going to Cosmic Comics in Denver around 2019 when it felt like mostly greybeards debating which Iron Man run was better. Came back last week for a variant cover and half the shop was kids and families grabbing manga and indie trades. Did something shift that fast or was I just blind to it the whole time?

Cosmic Comics in Austin flipped the same way, kids swarming the Junji Ito section last time I dropped in.

That Junji Ito thing is wild to me. I walked into my LCS two months ago and saw a 12 year old girl explaining Uzumaki to her dad like she was teaching a college course. I had to do a double take because when I was that age we were arguing about whether Wolverine's costume should have yellow or brown spandex. Did they even have manga sections back then or am I just that old now? How did kids even find out about Ito anyway?
