TIL I passed 1,000 back issues in my collection this weekend

I was sorting my long boxes to reorganize by publisher and actually counted for the first time. Hit 1,023 issues and that number kind of blew my mind. I started picking up floppies back in 2012 just for fun, never thought I'd get this deep. My wife just rolled her eyes when I told her, but it felt like a real milestone to me. Anyone else ever tally their collection and get surprised by the number?

Honestly thats awesome man! 1,023 is no joke. I remember passing 500 and thinking woah, but then I hit 1,000 and my wife gave me that same eye roll. Tbh I think shes just jealous of my cardboard friends. Ngl though, I accidentally doubled my collection when I bought a guys lot on Facebook Marketplace and didnt realize it was like 300 issues til I got home. My back hurts just thinking about moving those long boxes again.

Wait, did you say exactly 1,023? Kind of a weirdly specific number, gotta ask - you counting every single issue or just rounding up? I only ask cause I've done the math before and realized I was off by like 50 issues because I miscounted a long box. Not that it really matters, your wife is gonna roll her eyes either way.
