Showerthought: people keep saying Wolverine's healing factor is why he survived the Weapon X procedure
It wasn't the healing that saved him, it was the adamantium bonding happening while his body was already in shock from the trauma, which a guy at my local shop in Akron explained to me using the actual panels from issue 166. The healing just kept him alive long enough for the process to finish, which is a totally different thing. Anyone else catch that detail or am I reading it wrong?

Disagree, the healing factor is still the whole reason he lived through it.
