My LCS guy told me to stop bagging and boarding everything and I think he's right
Went to my shop in Portland on Wednesday with 3 short boxes of 80s X-Men I'd bagged and boarded twice, and the owner just shook his head. He said the Mylar and double tape actually trap moisture in our rainy climate, and half the books I brought in had wavy pages because of it. I switch to poly bags, single board, no tape on the flap, and when I checked 5 books a month later they looked better than the ones I'd fussed over for 3 years. Anyone else here think the whole bag and board obsession is overhyped?
