I think comic book fans focus too much on making every story detail match up perfectly.

Honestly, trying to make every little thing fit is a sure way to miss the good stuff. Learned that from years of following long running series. If you get hung up on a date or a costume being wrong, you lose the character's whole journey. Sometimes you just have to let the small stuff go for the bigger story to work.
