Got day drunk on $60 of single origin beans from that new roaster in Portland
I bought a sampler pack from that indie roaster off Burnside, like 4 bags at $15 each, and brewed them all back to back on my V60 one Saturday. The Ethiopian one was pure blueberry bomb, but the Colombian tasted like soggy cardboard no matter what grind I used. Maybe I wasted my money on hype, or maybe my pallet just ain't refined enough to get it. Anyone else drop cash on fancy beans that just made you feel dumb, or is it usually worth the extra bucks for you?
