Warning: that $60 Udemy course on Python basics was a waste for me until I did one thing differently
I bought a $60 Python course on Udemy back in March and got stuck on loops for two weeks, so I figured the course was junk. Then a friend in my Discord said to stop watching the videos and instead retype every example by hand without looking, and it finally clicked. I redid the first four sections that way and the total cost of my stubbornness was about $60 plus a month of wasted time. Now I'm halfway through and wondering if I should spring for a $15/month code practice site or just keep grinding free stuff. What actually got you past the tutorial phase without paying for another course?
