That $45 reusable coffee cup I bought is a paperweight now

Bought a fancy insulated cup at a Seattle farmers market claiming it would cut my landfill waste in half. After 2 months, the lid leaks and I'm back to a diner mug I got for free. Anyone else's eco gear just not hold up?

Used to think expensive eco gear was always worth it, but seeing stuff like this makes me wonder if we're just paying for a label. That cheaper option might honestly be the greener choice if it actually lasts.
