Solar quote finally made sense after I saw my actual meter reading

I kept ignoring solar because every calculator showed a payback period that felt fake. Then last month my electric bill hit $287 in Phoenix and I pulled my usage for June, 1,940 kWh, and realized the numbers were right there. Did anyone else only get serious after seeing their own real consumption instead of the ads?
