Appreciation post: the guys at my city's tool library saved me $400 on an insulation blower
I was about to rent an attic insulation blower for $400 at the home store on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie when a neighbor told me the library of things there lends one out for $15 a day. That one machine is why I finally blew 14 inches of cellulose into my attic last weekend instead of putting it off another winter. The volunteer walked me through the whole setup in 20 minutes and even threw in the extra hose. Does anyone know if other towns around here have these lending programs, because I want to tell everyone I know.
