Got talked into a $275 radon mitigation system, fought it hard, now I'm glad
I thought the test result of 4.8 was a sales pitch from the inspector in Strongsville. He showed me the EPA map and the crack in my basement floor, but I still hesitated over the price. My neighbor just sold her place after the buyer demanded a system as a term, so that tipped me over. It's been three months and the monitor reads around 1.2 now. Anyone else ignore this until a realtor forced their hand?

Did you know radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer after smoking? My uncle smoked for 40 years and quit, then found out his house had high levels the whole time. So your 275 bucks sounds like cheap peace of mind to me.
